Yangon is a city of contradictions. Very much like Manila. The glaring inequality. The tug of war between modernity and tradition. The desire for progress and the desire to stay still.

From this rooftop, the sky above is clear of these struggles. The view allows one to dream beyond the pain below. On a day like this, I want to be:

A different woman, with a different name.

To be foreign and familiar

To always be ready to leave and love

To be always in transit

To never be defined and be confined

To arrive and depart simultaneously

To hold yesterday and tomorrow with both of my hands
